Review: IV Therapy at Clean Market in NYC

Upon entering the store in Brookfield Place, I was greeted by two extremely friendly Clean Market employees. It was my first time there and I was meeting my wife, father-in-law and sister-in-law for an IV therapy session. My wife and I had just flown on a red eye from LA to NYC and had a wedding the next day. To say we needed some help boosting our immune system and replenishing our electrolytes would have been an understatement.

We were guided to a room where the four of us could relax in comfy chairs and enjoy some complimentary water. After a few minutes, we were given an iPad to fill out an online medical screening and then we each talked via zoom on the iPad with a medical professional about what we would be receiving today. It was my first time experiencing this level of detail and I was truly impressed.

After our quick calls to solidify which IV therapy each one of us would be receiving, we settled in. The medical professional administering the IVs was incredible. She asked us about what brought us in today, how often we do IV therapy, how she could make our experience better and genuinely calmed all nerves before placing a needle into our respective arms.

I chose to get the NutriMMUNITY drip, it’s designed for those who need a quick turnaround or boost to their immune defenses. With how much I have been traveling, it seemed like the right decision. As the drip began, I felt an immediate ease of the headache I had from getting off the plane earlier that morning. I did begin to have some taste in my mouth that was a combination of what tasted like orange and metal. The medical professional told me that was completely normal and noted that it is also a great sign that my body is taking on the nutrients. She also got me another water in case it became too heavy.

The drip lasted about a half hour. The four of us chatted through it, talking about what we were most excited for about the weekend. It was a great moment of calm for all of us. Upon completion, the IVs were taken out of our arms and we stayed sitting for another 10 minutes or so. This is necessary to allow for you to be in the presence of a medical professional immediately upon completing the therapy.

Afterwards, as we walked out onto the terrace overlooking the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty, I felt revitalized. No longer dealing with the inflammation and perpetual runny nose from traveling. I highly recommend an IV therapy session at Clean Market. Talk with the medical professionals, tell them what brings you in, be honest with yourself and with them. Let them take care of you and you will leave feeling immensely better both physically and mentally.
